Position Details:

Staff Pharmacist- Lancaster, OH

Location                           : 401 N. Ewing Street Lancaster, OH 43130

Project Duration          : 13 Weeks contract

Salary Range                  : $70/hr - $75/hr

Shift                                    : 7 on 7 off nights 8pm - 7:30am Thursday – Thursday

Guaranteed Hours       : 36

 

Job Description:

Must have an Ohio license and hospital experience.

·         7-days on/7-days off position, with work weeks running from Thursday night --> Thursday morning.

·         On-week hours are 2000 - 0730

·         This position operates as the sole Pharmacist in the hospital from 1130 - 0600, with CPhT support throughout the night

Job Summary:

Provides pharmaceutical care to patients including monitoring, evaluation, and assurance of the quality of medication use, provision of drug information, distribution, and control of drugs and other patient services. Performs other duties as requested.

 

Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.

 

Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science or Pharm D. degree from an American Colleges of Pharmacy Education required.  Must have a valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.

Experience: One year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Job-related Skills:  Excellent communication and human relation skills when dealing with co-workers, other Center employees, the medical staff, patients, families, and the general public.

Job Expectations and Responsibilities:

4.  Reviews, interprets, processes, and validates and/or dispenses medication orders and prescriptions accurately.

5.  Monitors and manages patient medication therapy to ensure therapeutic appropriateness and effectiveness of drug regimens, including appropriateness to the age of the individual patient.

6.  Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and records consistent with regulations and standards governing the practice of pharmacy.

7.  Communicates drug information to patients, family, and other health care providers.

8.  Participates in drug therapy management of medical emergencies by responding to emergency call, assisting in medication preparation and provision of drug information and assuring adequate medication supplies.

9. Coordinates the day-to-day pharmacy technician activities to meet the needs of the patient, organization and department.

 

Physical Capacity Demand

 

Medium Work:  Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often.

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Montana/Compact State.
  • Current BLS, ACLS & PALS certification from AHA.
