As a part time, nonexempt, Pharmacist at Springwoods Behavioral Health, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services. This is a hands-on opportunity to make a direct impact by ensuring the accuracy of medication orders, verifying technician-prepared products, and safeguarding controlled substances. You'll contribute to a high-performing team by mentoring new staff, maintaining seamless daily operations, and supporting the Director in optimizing pharmacy performance.

Schedule: This position will be scheduled one weekend a month.They will also need to fill in as needed during the week. The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 4:00PM and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00AM to 12:00PM.

About the facility: Opened in September 2009, Springwoods Behavioral Health is a state-of-the-art private psychiatric hospital. The hospital's 80 beds accommodate children, adolescents, and adults. The six-acre campus is adjacent to a 123 acre Audubon Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary which is to be held in perpetuity and can not be developed from its natural state. This provides Springwoods with a peaceful setting for those embarked on the road to recovery.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure appropriateness, safety, and accuracy
• Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize medication regimens for hospitalized patients
• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding activities, ensuring compliance with USP and hospital standards
• Monitor patient outcomes and medication safety, identifying and preventing adverse drug events
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and interns, ensuring efficient and compliant workflow
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance, including Joint Commission, state, and federal requirements

Required Qualifications:

• ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree
• Arkansas state pharmacist license in good standing
• 1+ years of recent pharmacist experience
• Skilled with pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• PharmD
• Behavioral Health

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.09 to $78.70 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
