Job Title: Staff Pharmacist
Location: Scottsdale, AZ 85258
Duration: 02-month
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM           
 
Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a licensed Staff Pharmacist (RPh) to support pharmacy operations during a pharmacy system transition.
  • The selected candidate will be trained on the current pharmacy system and assist with prescription verification while the team transitions to a new pharmacy platform.
  • This role requires excellent clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and verify physician prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Compound and dispense medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Review prescriptions for dosage accuracy, drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
  • Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
  • Resolve complex medication and prescription-related issues while providing excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and healthcare providers to ensure safe and efficient pharmacy operations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory and company policies.
  • Process a high volume of prescriptions while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
  • Quickly learn and utilize the current pharmacy computer system during the transition period.
  • Support workflow continuity while the pharmacy implements a new operating system.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license.
  • Experience working as a Staff Pharmacist in a retail, outpatient, or community pharmacy setting.
  • Strong knowledge of prescription interpretation, medication dispensing, and patient counseling.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new pharmacy systems and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
