JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education: D. or D.O. from an accredited Medical School and be able to produce evidence of such.
Foreign medical graduates must have completed a recognized equivalency program and hold certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (EVFMG).
Specialty: Completion of a postgraduate training program (Primary Care, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics) accredited by ACGME, AOA, or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The applicant must produce evidence of program completion.
Licensure: Licensed by the State Board of Medicine or State Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Michigan. Possesses valid DEA license. Board Eligible. Board Certified preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years in underserved area preferred.
Skills: Diagnostic, therapeutic, interpersonal, organizational.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
Physical Effort: Must be able to sit, stand, and or walk for an entire workday. Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and or twist while holding up to 25 lbs. frequently.
Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday. Flexible and varied.
Travel: Some travel between sites required. Travel may be required in order to attend pertinent conferences; with travel, lodging, and living costs reimbursed at the existing rate of the corporation. Reimbursement for expenses will occur in accordance with GLBHC policy.
