Responsibilities:

NORTON HEART & VASCULAR INSTITUTE, a part of Norton Healthcare located in Louisville, Kentucky, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible vascular surgeon to join its growing team. Our team of five board-certified and fellowship-trained vascular surgeons and two advanced practice providers works closely with skilled specialists from cardiology, neurology and radiology to evaluate and treat patients with vascular disease. This coordinated approach ensures that patients with vascular disease receive the most comprehensive and personal care. 

 

Norton Heart & Vascular Institute’s vascular surgeons perform nearly 2,130 surgeries annually, including over 175 transcarotid artery revascularization, and endovascular aneurysm repair procedures. Norton Heart & Vascular Institute is accredited through the Vascular Quality Initiative.

About the Position:

  • Inpatient care at Norton Healthcare’s four adult-service hospitals in Louisville

The physician is responsible for recording a detailed medical history of each patient in the electronic medical record, including, but not limited to, chief complaint, present condition, individual history, and family history. Performing appropriate physical examination of each patient. Analyzing reports and/or findings of tests and personal examinations in order to assess the medical condition of the patient, including diagnosing the patient's injury or illness and formulating a prognosis.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Doctorate Degree
  • One of: DO or MD
