JOB SUMMARY:
The Staff physician with women's health focus provides clinical care to patients, based upon his/her specialty training, through an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach that takes into consideration the psychosocial aspects of both health and disease.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participates in peer review and quality improvement activities of the department

- Provides high quality clinical care in a multidisciplinary environment
- Maintains the standard of clinical care, using diagnostic testing appropriately and providing appropriate treatment
- Uses diagnostic testing appropriately yet cost-effectively, and providing appropriate treatment
- Considers the psychosocial aspects of both health and disease
Willingness to Learn
- Maintains educational competencies, identifies educational deficits and plans ways to meet those deficits
- Seeks consultation and makes referrals when appropriate

- Effectively engages patients in their care

- Maintains complete and comprehensive documentation

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- M.D. or D.O. with completion of an accredited residency training program in Family Medicine or completion of at least two years of an accredited OB/GYN residency training program with subsequent completion of a primary care residency program.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Completion of medical degree and an accredited residency program
- Appropriate Maryland licensure and clinical certification, DEA and Maryland CDS, X license.
- Interest in and/or experience in community health settings
- Experience working in a diverse environment
- Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals required
- Excellent communication and team skills required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment.
