The role is for a Staff Process Control Engineer at a refinery, ideal for a proactive individual in a fast-paced plant environment. You will lead the Alarm Management Project, utilizing PSI Alarm Management software within the Hexagon PAS PlantState Integrity Platform to enhance operator performance and reduce nuisance alarms.
- Lead and optimize Advanced Process Control (APC) applications.
- Implement alarm suppression strategies using PSI tools, including shelving and suppression design.
- Collaborate with technical and process control teams across multiple sites.
- Design and maintain DCS control schemes, configurations, and operator graphics per safety standards.
- Participate in process safety reviews like P&ID's, HAZOP, and LOPA.
- Support projects to improve refinery reliability and maintenance efficiency.
- Specify and procure DCS hardware, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications:
- US work authorization
- Bachelor's in Chemical or Electrical Engineering or related field
- 12+ years of refinery or similar experience
- Extensive knowledge of Honeywell control systems and AspenTech DMC
- Experience with Hexagon PAS Platform and PPCL C Visual Explorer is a plus
- Familiarity with ISA 18.2, EEMUA 191, ISA 101.01 standards
- Experience with Honeywell HPM, Experion C-300/SCADA, and HMI graphics
