Our client a Staff Process Control Engineer at their refinery. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced plant environment and can seamlessly adapt to evolving priorities. You will play a pivotal role in leading the Alarm Management Project, utilizing PSI Alarm Management database software integrated within the Hexagon PAS PlantState Integrity Platform. Your advanced alarm management expertise, focusing on dynamic and predictive alarming, will be crucial in enhancing operator performance and minimizing nuisance alarms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Advanced Process Control (APC) applications to ensure their development, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Implement comprehensive alarm suppression strategies using PSI Alarm Management tools, including manual shelving and design suppression.
  • Collaborate with technical services and process control teams to implement best practices across multiple sites.
  • Design and maintain Distributed Control System (DCS) control schemes, configurations, and operator graphics to adhere to refinery safety and reliability standards.
  • Participate in process safety reviews, including P&ID's, HAZOP, and LOPA.
  • Support project engineering efforts to enhance refinery reliability and maintenance efficiency.
  • Specify and procure DCS hardware, ensuring compliance with industry standards and engineering practices.
Qualifications:
  • Authorization to work in the US.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in a refinery or similar setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of Honeywell control systems and AspenTech DMC.
  • Proficiency with Hexagon PAS PlantState Integrity Platform and PPCL C Visual Explorer (CVE) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as ISA 18.2, EEMUA 191, and ISA 101.01.
  • Experience with Honeywell HPM, Experion C-300/SCADA configuration, and Experion HMI graphic design is required.
