We’re looking for Staff Program Manager, Strategic Programs Contractor to augment our Strategic Program Management Organization. In this role, you will spearhead the successful implementation of our most critical programs, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, internal and external stakeholders, and clients.

This multifaceted role requires a blend of technical acumen and experience as well as business savviness. You will have demonstrated a track record of building and leading technology products to market. Your experience will help you to shape program strategy and lead at a cross-functional level. You will be essential as you navigate complex relationships with diplomacy, translating technical concepts into accessible terms. Your responsibilities will encompass aligning internal and external roadmaps and resource plans to chart the optimal path forward for us and our partners. Your background may include software development, technical program management, product management, or consultancy.

As a Staff Program Manager, you’ll partner with Product, Operations, Engineering, Product Marketing, and other departments to shape and lead cross-functional strategic programs. Use your program management, leadership, and influence to make significant programs successful. Join us today for this exciting endeavor. Responsibilities:
  • Act as the driving force for strategic program execution, ensuring all members are aligned with the vision of the client(s).
  • He/she/they is the bridge between Client and the customer(s) for execution efforts and managing expectations on both ends.
  • Organize, strategize, plan, and drive execution of the cross-functional scope of the effort, coordinating the technical assets with product and engineering leadership to achieve program objectives.
  • Uses AI tools to accelerate program execution — synthesizing status across workstreams, drafting executive communications, and producing first-pass artifacts (briefs, risk logs, readouts) that the PM refines and owns.
  • Builds repeatable AI-enabled workflows (e.g., recurring status synthesis, meeting-to action-item capture, data summarization) that reduce manual effort for themselves and the broader SPMO.
  • Identifies opportunities to embed AI into the operating frameworks SPMO designs for Product and Technology, improving the speed and quality of planning, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Negotiate prioritization cross-functionally with multiple teams across multiple domains. Elevate to senior leadership priority conflicts.
  • Develop internal program plans on selected initiatives – setting program goals, establishing timelines, and identifying teams and necessary resources.
  • Delivered programs across portfolio management, internal customizations, system integrations, and off-the-shelf implementations, while driving improvements to product and engineering operating practices such as planning cadences, prioritization frameworks, and Jira standardization.
  • Manage and communicate risk and potential mitigations related to customer expectations (scope, budget, schedule, quality, etc.)
  • Communicate with both internal and external stakeholders, including customers, product marketing, management, and other team members.
  • Report weekly to senior leadership on the status of the program, including program status, risk identification, resource utilization, program cost, and forecasts against budget
  • Deliver technical presentations to stakeholders monthly, including program status, upcoming milestones, and resource utilization
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership on the program to ensure the execution plan aligns with the technical vision and customer needs for the effort.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in software development and technical program leadership, driving cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions to achieve business goals.
  • Experience leading teams in an Agile environment with Scrum and SAFe methodologies.
  • Experience developing and implementing program management systems, including reporting and training materials, for deployment to cross-functional Product/ Engineering teams.
  • AI tools: Claude, Cursor, Gemini
Nice to have:
Training and certifications in Project Management (PMP, MPM, PgMP or equivalent) Agile/Scrum (CPO, CSM), ITIL, Jira, Confluence, Java, and AWS are a plus.
