The Staff Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional teams of process/business experts, engineers, and designers to deliver mid-size to large client projects on time, on budget and in scope, and serves as a client point of contact on assigned projects under the oversight of senior project management. ResponsibilitiesEnsure projects are delivered under budget, within schedule, within the agreed-to scope and with a great customer experienceLead small to mid-size teams consisting of various engineering disciplines and other project support personnelResponsible for maintaining appropriate project documentation in the proper locationsManage client's project expectations and requirementsUnderstand and perform critical path analysisSign client/firm agreement, if legally qualified within the limits of EAD signatory policyMaintains understanding of project financial issuesAuthorizes billing to client, subject to Project Manager or Managing Director review as requiredResponsible for project reporting including resource utilization and project profitabilityAccountable for project costs, schedules, performance and safetyResponsible for communications, escalations and resolving moderately complex client issues, escalating highly complex issues to senior project managementAct as a point of contact to the client, project managers and company executives on assigned projectsTracking and delivering project metricsMentoring and coaching Associate Project Managers and other project support staffReport into Project Managers and senior managementLead multiple, mid-size to large, multi-disciplinary projectsResponsible for adhering to all EAD's safety standards and practicesLead preparation of proposals including scope definition, schedule development and budget estimates for small to mid-size pursuitsProvide marketing support and assistance Perform other related duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Construction, or Civil Engineering and five to seven years of relevant working experience with advanced knowledge in mechanical engineering, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceFive to seven years of experience in project management/execution with an understanding of standard project management processes/proceduresPMP certified or committed to obtain the certification within 12 monthsHigh level interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacyAbility to manage small to mid-size, and some large, projectsProficient in executing fast tracked projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to meet project deadlinesScope management and client management skillsEngineering consulting firm experience Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, while being capable of interacting effectively with plant operations from the maintenance level through and including the executive levelProven track record of accomplishments as a project manager, senior project engineer, or lead engineer on industrial projects and capable of supervising and directing a team of engineers, contractors, and vendorsWorking knowledge of excel including macrosSelf-starter with strong attention to detailAbility to multi-task while working on numerous projects simultaneously at various stages of completionAbility to support business development opportunitiesPossess and able to maintain a valid driver's licenseComputer proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project requiredPreferred Certifications and skills:Experience in working with food manufacturing, life sciences, bioprocess and/or petrochemical companies, construction of large industrial plants, or power stations will be advantageousWorking Conditions:Office, plant, or client site environment*Ability to sit and work at computer for extended periods of timeAbility to walk up numerous flights of stairs/ladders multiple times a day and/or work in tight spaces in extreme conditionsMay work near moving mechanical parts and equipment*Office, Commercial and/or Industrial setting with the potential of exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals*Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.*Periodic weekend, holiday or evening work as neededTravel and/or field experience required*EAD will provide training, administrative/engineering controls, and personal protective equipment as necessary.We strongly believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and background will lead to a better workplace for our employees and a better product for our customers.EAD is an Equal Opportunity Employer
