DescriptionYou will be the Staff Quality Engineer for the S&GS team. Our team is responsible for applying quality principles to ensure the highest standards of product or process quality for make and/or buy products, spanning design, production control, product evaluation, and research and development.ResponsibilitiesCollaborating with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers on quality-related issuesConducting product failure investigations, material review board decisions, and corrective/preventive actionsDeveloping strategies to improve internal and supplier performance and productivityEvaluating quality systems for deficiency identification and correctionDesigning and analyzing inspection and testing processes, and conducting product quality testsEngaging in supplier selection and certification programsReviewing documentation to ensure quality products are delivered to customersAnalyzing and resolving process issues, and leading program corrective action meetingsParticipating in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards to disposition non-conforming hardware and identify root causesPerforming assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and proceduresQualificationsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited college in a STEM related discipline or equivalent experience/combined educationSelected candidate must be a US citizen and have the ability to maintain a Secret security clearanceDesired SkillsQuality engineering experienceSAP and/or APRISO experienceGD&T experienceBachelor's degree in a STEM discipline highly preferredElectronics and manufacturing environment experienceGreen or Black Belt certificationAS9102 interpretation and application experienceProposal and sustainment experienceEffective communication and interpersonal skillsJob InformationBusiness Unit: MISSILES AND FIRE CONTROLExperience Level: Experienced ProfessionalRelocation: PossibleCareer Area: QA/Test and InspectionEmployment Type: Full-TimeShift: FirstScheduleWork schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
