Pay Rate: $34.00 – $54.00 / hour (DOE) + Potential Sign-On / Retention Bonus
Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Variable with weekend rotation)
Position Overview
A community hospital in western Illinois is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Acute RN for a permanent night-shift role on a close-knit 16-bed unit. The unit features manageable 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratios, CNA floor support, and comprehensive hospital benefits.

License Rule (Crucial): Illinois state RN license only. Out-of-state multistate/compact licenses cannot be used to practice bedside in IL; candidate must hold an active IL license. Role Type & Positions: Direct Hire / Permanent (2 Open Positions); 36 hours/week guaranteed. Pay & Incentives: $34.00 – $54.00/hour; sign-on/retention bonuses determined at time of offer. Full hospital benefits (457b match, STD/LTD). Shift & Unit Specs: 16-bed unit, 1:4 patient ratios, 1 CNA on duty. 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), schedules posted 6 weeks out, every other or every third weekend rotation. Perks & Flexibility: Zero mandatory holidays; no mandatory on-call/standby. Clinical Must-Haves: 2–5 years acute Med/Surg experience, active BLS & PALS, and direct telemetry strip interpretation experience (Nihon Kohden).
