We are looking for a talented and experienced biologist to join our team and contribute to our research in neurotrauma and imaging techniques. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in executing experiments outlined in our recently funded grant, utilizing their expertise in molecular and cell biology. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make significant contributions to our research goals.

  • Execute experiments as outlined in the Department of Defense grant, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Conduct molecular and cell biology research, utilizing wet lab techniques and intravital microscopy imaging.
  • Analyze and interpret data, preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including biologists, engineers, and imaging specialists.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of experimental procedures and results.
  • Assist in the development and optimization of experimental protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in molecular biology and neurotrauma research.
  • Contribute to the publication of research findings in scientific journals.

SRA 1:

  • A Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field is required.
  • Wet lab experience is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of molecular and cell biology techniques.
  • Experience with intravital microscopy imaging is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of neurotrauma research and bioengineering principles is desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and scientific writing.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and regulations.

SRA 2: In addition to the above...

  • BA/BS in a related science and one or more years of recent, directly related work experience, utilizing the techniques or methods required by the position and demonstrating technical expertise in these areas; and/or equivalent experience/training.
