Unit Summary: Sinai Hospital's Neuroscience Unit is a 36-bed telemetry unit caring for neurology and neurosurgery patients, including traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, seizure, and epilepsy cases.
Job Summary: Under the direction of the unit manager, this role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct age-appropriate clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license
- Basic Life Support
- 2 Years or more of relevant Med/Surg Nursing experience
- Education: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required
Skills and Certifications [note: bold skills and certification are required]
RN License, actively posted on Maryland Board of Nursing
BLS Certificate required, ACLS preferred
NIHSS Certification preferred
CVICU experience required
ICU experience required
Med Surg Experience required
