Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  • 5 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

The PDG (Paid Digital Goods) team develops end-to-end experiences that empower viewers to purchase digital goods on YouTube, directly supporting their favorite creators. Our mission is to accelerate business growth for the YouTube ecosystem and the creator community by delivering simple, delightful, and engaging transactional experiences. We are currently introducing sophisticated new features to our latest products, gifts, while simultaneously scaling our flagship super chat product to new heights.

In this role, you will join our team and help drive these high-stakes products to success. You will manage complex full stack issues and build scalable systems that manage massive global traffic. You will have an opportunity to work at the intersection of social interaction and digital commerce, shaping the future of the creator business generation.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
