Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor"s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development.
5 years of experience with iOS application development.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience designing complex window management architectures and extensible System UI frameworks for iOS or spatial computing.
Advanced experience in LLM integration, prompt engineering, and API and SDK design.
Proven track record leading development of system-level features, managing overlapping platform challenges, and mentoring senior engineers.
Proficiency in spatial interactions, 3D game engines, or performance optimization for resource-constrained hardware.
Expert proficiency in reactive UI frameworks, especially SwiftUI.

XR Human Interface team is a collection of experts in HCI (human computer interaction), system experiences, multimodal input and contextual learning that define how headsets and glasses interfaces evolve. As AI-driven agentic interactions are gaining momentum, we"re right in the middle of creating new user interfaces that combine skills in mobile development and applied machine learning approaches. We build novel applications to help users make the most of spatial computing to bring helpful AI to their lives in the most effortless way possible.
For decades, the computing revolution has reshaped our world driven by
breakthroughs in compute, connectivity, mobile, and now, AI. Google"s XR team is at the forefront of the next major leap - the convergence of AI and XR. This is more than just new devices - it"s about reimagining how we interact with the world around us. We"re building a future where
lightweight XR devices like smart glasses and headsets pair with helpful AI to augment human intelligence, offering personalized, conversational, and contextually aware experiences.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $207000 - $301000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
