Staff Software Engineer

We're partnering with a fast-scaling, Series A AI company transforming how healthcare organizations handle medical chart review, coding, and revenue integrity. Backed by top-tier investors with ~$30M raised, the company is automating some of the most manual, high-stakes administrative work in healthcare — and growing quickly across health systems, provider groups, and urgent care networks.

They're now looking for a Staff Software Engineer to take a leading technical role as the platform and team scale.

The Role

You'll be one of the most senior engineers in the company, shaping architecture, raising the technical bar, and shipping product end-to-end. This is a hands-on role in a small, high-caliber, in-person team: you'll own systems from design through production, work directly with founders, and build LLM-powered products that process sensitive clinical and billing data at scale.

What You'll Do

• Design and build core platform architecture — scalable backend systems, data pipelines, and AI/LLM-powered product features
• Own projects end-to-end: product discovery, technical design, implementation, deployment, and iteration
• Set engineering standards and mentor the team as it grows
• Work directly with customers and founders to translate messy real-world healthcare workflows into reliable software
• Ship fast while maintaining the rigor required for systems handling clinical and revenue-critical data

What They're Looking For

• Strong track record as a senior/staff engineer at a high-growth startup or modern tech company
• Deep backend expertise (e.g. Python, Node.js, Java) and experience with cloud-native architecture — AWS, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes/ECS
• Experience owning ambiguous, complex projects end-to-end with high autonomy
• Product instincts — you care about what gets built and why, not just how
• Excellent communication across engineering, product, and customers

Bonus Points

• Experience building with LLMs/generative AI in production
• Background in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated, data-heavy domains
• Experience as an early engineer scaling a platform through Series A B growt
