Job DetailsKey Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and gifts
- Prepare multi-state and consolidated tax returns
- Assist with tax planning and advisory strategies for clients
- Research federal and state tax issues and communicate findings effectively
- Apply tax research and technical knowledge to client situations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Collaborate effectively with peers, managers, and senior professionals
- Manage multiple engagements and competing deadlines throughout the tax cycle
- Maintain accurate and organized workpapers and documentation
- Stay current on relevant tax law and regulatory changes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 1–3 years of tax experience within a public accounting firm
- CPA license or CPA candidacy preferred, but not required
- Master's degree in Taxation (MST) is a plus
- Strong technical knowledge of federal and state taxation
- Experience with tax research and complex tax return preparation
- Experience with CCH Axcess Tax, Document, and/or Engagement is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
