What You'll Do

• Prepare and maintain accurate nursing staff schedules
• Ensure appropriate staffing coverage across all shifts and departments
• Monitor call-outs, PTO requests, vacancies, availability, and schedule changes
• Secure coverage for open shifts and staffing needs
• Coordinate schedules for new hires, orientations, and training
• Maintain accurate staffing records and communicate schedule updates
• Monitor staffing levels and assist in controlling unnecessary overtime
• Partner with Human Resources and Nursing Administration regarding staffing needs
• Identify staffing shortages and communicate concerns promptly
• Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and facility information

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous staffing, scheduling, or healthcare experience preferred
• Long-term care, skilled nursing, or 24-hour healthcare experience strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage staffing shortages and last-minute schedule changes
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Basic computer proficiency; scheduling and timekeeping software experience preferred
• Experience with Paycor is a plus
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
• Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and direct-care staff
