Staffing Coordinator / Medical Records Coordinator
Status: Full-Time Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Staffing Coordinator / Medical Records Coordinator. This position plays a vital role in ensuring adequate staffing coverage while maintaining accurate resident medical records and supporting daily administrative operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Staffing Coordination
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and maintain nursing schedules.
- Coordinate CNA and nursing staffing to ensure appropriate coverage in accordance with facility needs.
- Manage call-ins, schedule changes, and staffing replacements.
- Maintain staffing records and reports as required.
Medical Records
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date resident medical records.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements related to medical record management.
- Process admissions, discharges, and record requests as needed.
- Assist with chart audits and record organization.
Administrative Support
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Assist residents, families, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide clerical support to nursing and administrative departments as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience with healthcare staffing and scheduling preferred.
- Prior medical records experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other computer applications.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
