DevOps Engineer – Sylmar, CA
Pay Rate: $63–$67/hr
Duration: 6 Months (Potential Extension/Conversion)
Location: Sylmar
Schedule: Onsite/Hybrid (based on team needs)
Job Summary
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer (3+ years experience) to support CI/CD pipeline development, cloud infrastructure, and automation initiatives. This role focuses on ensuring reliable deployments, improving system performance, and supporting DevOps/DevSecOps practices in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Manage cloud infrastructure (Azure) and containerized environments
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
Automate operational and deployment processes
Support DevOps, DevSecOps, and Agile methodologies
Manage code repositories and workflows (Git/GitLab/Azure DevOps)
Work with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS) and virtualization technologies
Ensure security checks within CI/CD pipelines
Provide system optimization, maintenance, and production support
Collaborate across teams and manage vendor relationships
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of DevOps experience
Strong experience with Azure / Azure PaaS services
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Azure DevOps)
Experience with Terraform, Git, scripting languages
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes (AKS)
Understanding of REST APIs, networking (firewalls, load balancers)
Strong coding background (testing experience not required)
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical/Biomedical Engineering (preferred)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Proactive, self-starter mindset
Nice to Have
Medical device industry experience
Exposure to DevSecOps/security practices
Experience with F5 LTM/GTM or Azure networking services
