Mechanical Engineer III – Wilmington, NC (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Month assignment with potential for extension or conversion
Pay: $55-$59/hr
 
Seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer III with manufacturing equipment experience to support equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and process improvements within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
 
Key Requirements:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience working with production equipment
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, tools, measurement instruments, and equipment troubleshooting
  • Experience translating engineering requirements into equipment/process designs
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and troubleshoot complex systems
  • Knowledge of process piping systems and P&IDs
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drive trains, electrical systems, and pneumatic actuators
  • Experience supporting equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing environments
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AutoCAD, Inventor, MS Project, Excel, Teams
  • Project management experience (scope, budget, schedule)
  • Experience with large-scale manufacturing equipment installations
  • Optical fiber or process manufacturing experience is a plus
