Overview

Manages the administration of a variety of functions including supervision and scheduling of the Staffing Office for the Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital (VPCH). Manages all direct care nursing/staffing schedules, resources, and processes related to staffing office functions to meet the operational needs of the nursing department. Communicates effectively with the Associate Nurse Executive (ANE) and the Chief Nursing Executive (CNE) to ensure facility staffing of all categories of nursing needs are met. Work is performed under the general supervision of Nursing Administration. Provides coverage for Staffing Office essential functions on an as needed basis and occasional work outside of business hours on nights and weekends may be required. All employees of the Agency of Human Services perform their respective functions adhering to four key practices: customer service, holistic service, strengths-based relationships and results orientation.

Environmental Factors

Duties are generally performed in a standard office setting. There may be some exposure to patient populations. Some work outside of regular work schedule may be required. There may be periods of heavy workloads and tight deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor''s degree AND two (2) years performing administrative level duties which includes complex scheduling.

OR

Associate''s degree AND four (4) years performing administrative level duties which includes complex scheduling.

OR

High School diploma or equivalent AND six (6) years performing administrative level duties which includes complex scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with work schedule coordination or coordination of staffing in large scale operations.

Complex scheduling experience in a healthcare setting.
