Staffing Operations General Manager

What you will own

Team Leadership

  • Hire, train, coach, and hold the team accountable to Express core values
  • Conduct daily huddles, weekly 1:1s, and performance reviews
  • Build a culture of ownership, professionalism, and results
  • Manage schedules, staffing levels, and PTO for full coverage

Sales & Growth

  • Drive a quarterly sales plan across new logos and existing accounts
  • Maintain strong activity: calls, appointments, and disciplined pipeline tracking
  • Hit new-client and revenue targets consistently
  • Lead onboarding, client care, and retention initiatives

Recruiting Strategy

  • Build recruiting plans that keep a steady candidate pipeline
  • Monitor applications, interviews, and placements to improve conversion
  • Ensure full adherence to the Express selection process
  • Jump in on interviews and hard-to-fill roles as needed

Order Fulfillment & Service

  • Oversee job order intake and assignment to optimize fill rates
  • Track service quality and follow-through using system reports
  • Resolve client and associate issues quickly and effectively
  • Protect satisfaction and Net Promoter Score performance

Operations, Financials & Risk

  • Administer payroll and account setup in accordance with Express standards
  • Drive profitability, manage accounts receivable, and support collections
  • Monitor workers’ compensation and unemployment risk
  • Ensure 24/7 responsiveness through on-call program management

Community & Compliance

  • Network locally and represent Express in the community
  • Participate in job fairs and employment events
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws and company policies

Your background

  • 2–4+ years of leadership, sales, or staffing experience
  • Strong coaching, communication, and accountability capabilities
  • Proven success in fast-paced, results-oriented settings
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
