Staffing - Quality Technician II

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Quality Microbiology Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Durham, NC. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description:

• Pay Range - $23.00 - $25.00
• Perform routine QC and microbiology testing in support of product release, validations, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls within a GMP pharmaceutical environment.
• Conduct environmental monitoring including water, air, and surface sampling.
• Perform testing including sterility, bioburden, endotoxin, TOC, particulate count, Gram staining, growth promotion, and cell-based assays.
• Review/document test results, complete investigations, and support corrective actions.
• Maintain sample tracking, laboratory inventory, data entry, and laboratory cleanliness.
• Support assay validations, equipment qualifications, SOP revisions, and process improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Sterilization, Quality, and external labs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field is REQUIRED
• 2–3 years of GMP pharmaceutical or biotech laboratory experience is Preferred 
• Direct investigation experience in a pharmaceutical environment is required.
• Hands-on experience with microbiology/QC testing including sterility, bioburden, endotoxin, and environmental monitoring.
• Experience supporting deviations, CAPAs, and GMP documentation.
• Experience with cell-based assays, assay validation, or equipment qualification is PREFERRED 
• Experience with LIMS/electronic lab systems is PREFERRED 
• Experience supporting sterile manufacturing environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
