    CommentsThe Staffing Specialist, under the supervision of the Director and Clinical Manager is responsible for performing scheduling, staffing, and clerical duties to support the needs of NAH. This is a relief / 0 budgeted weekly position

    Responsibilities

    Data Integrity Demonstrates knowledge and utilization of staffing software/program. Manages and updates staffing changes and schedules. Manages staffing email account. Staffing Management Collaborate with Administrative Coordinators (AC) to ensure staffing meets organizational needs. Communicates real time staffing changes to on duty AC, Charge RNs and Clinical Managers. Addresses unexpected staffing needs to ensure safe staffing. Collects staffing statistics and potential concerns to report to the oncoming AC. Attends daily bed and unit staffing meetings. Rounds on units to facilitate open communication for safe staffing. Collaborates with hospital units to assist with unit staffing needs. Serves as the liaison, receiving calls/text from staff for changes. Administrative Coordinates Patient Safety Attendants (PSA) placement to meet organizational needs. Leads pre-shift PSA safety huddles. Maintains sitter log. Communicates any PSA discrepancies or concerns to AC or Staffing Services Clinical Manager. Ensures PSA breaks are scheduled and fulfilled. Compliance/Safety Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner. Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee''s area of responsibility. If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates. Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma or GED- Required

    Basic Life Support (BLS)- Required

    Healthcare is a rapidly changing environment and technology is integrated into almost all aspects of patient care. Computers and other electronic devices are utilized across the organization and throughout each department. Colleagues must have an understanding of computers, and competence in using computers and basic software programs.
