Working closely with the Technical Director of Stage Operations, the Stage Operations Assistant's primary responsibility will be to support the hang and focus of theatrical lighting for the Theatre, Dance, and Music Department productions at the Eisner Center. Functioning as a Head Production Electrician, they will lead student crews to safely and accurately install theatrical lighting in multiple performance venues. In addition, the Stage Operation team handles the load in of seating risers, audio equipment, and soft goods.
The schedule will be flexible and scheduled on an as-needed basis between August - May.
Basic Functions:

Functioning as a Head Production Electrician, they will lead student crews to safely and accurately install theatrical lighting in multiple performance venues. In addition, the Stage Operation team handles the load in of seating risers, audio equipment, and soft goods.
The schedule will be flexible and scheduled on an as-needed basis between August - May, not to exceed 100 hours each semester.
Essential Job Functions:
The Stage Operations Assistant will interpret theatrical lighting plots, lead the hang and focus of theatrical lighting fixtures. They will collaborate with the TD of Stage Operations on other technical elements of stage set ups, including pits eating, projections, etc.
They will supervise and guide student staff members, ensuring they complete all necessary tasks in a satisfactory and safe manner. The Stage Operations Assistant will program and patch the lighting consoles (ETC IonXE) at Eisner for performances.
