POSITION: Stagehand - Local 500

The Role --------

The Stagehand - Local 500 is responsible for assisting with the assembling, disassembling and operation of stage equipment during production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities ------------------------------------

• Load and unload props and materials from truck dock.
• Set up lighting, props, and microphones.
• Move and rearrange furniture.
• Set up risers and musical equipment.
• Clean up stage and backstage area before and after performances.

Reporting and Union Requirements ------------------------------

• Report to the Union Steward upon arrival to work for an event.

Requirements and Working Conditions -----------------------------------

• General knowledge and experience in proper handling of all components of theatrical and entertainment tools, equipment, and systems.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy loads, walk, stand, sit, crouch, bend, stretch and reach.
• Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Union and Pay Information -------------------------

• Position is a referent of Local 500 union and is subject to pay referral fee and dues directed by the Local 500 and the work referral system in effect.
• This is an hourly position that will be subject to collectively bargained union rules.
