    Our client, a world leader in biotechnology and gene therapy, is looking for an Staining Software Engineer Associate (Testing) in Tucson, AZ.

     

    Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

    Pay Rate : $40 - $55/hr on W2

     

    Company Benefits: Medical, Paid Sick leave, 401K

     

    The Staining Software Engineer Associate develops and maintains staining procedures for diagnostic applications by partnering with assay development teams. This role designs software solutions, creates software supplements, manages supporting database elements, and ensures timely, high-quality delivery in a regulated medical device environment.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, optimize, and maintain software solutions for diagnostic staining applications.
    • Create and deploy software supplements and manage supporting database configurations.
    • Collaborate with assay development and cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions.
    • Perform software testing, debugging, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
    • Ensure compliance with medical device software regulations and quality standards.
    • Deliver projects on time while maintaining a Quality First Time approach.

     

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Life Sciences backgrounds with relevant technical skills will also be considered).
    • 0–5 years of software testing experience.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across teams.
    • Knowledge of software development best practices and quality standards.

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience developing medical device software or software in a regulated environment.
