A Little About Hanover Iron Works

Hanover Iron Works has been fabricating and erecting customized steel stairways, rails, and other miscellaneous metal components for more than 60 years.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

• TIG weld Aluminum and Stainless Handrails.
• Use of Angle grinder and finishing tools to achieve the proper finish called out.
• Operate cold saw, band saw, pipe-notcher and grinder.
• Operate overhead crane.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack.
• Use jigs, welding torches and hand tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Tig welding of Aluminum and Stainless Steel.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, tool-box shop talks, safety procedures, Operator's Manuals and maintenance instructions.
• Experience using tape measures and hand tools.
• Requires knowledge of various tools for fabrication and layout.
• Ability to use basic math and geometry.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing schedule and switch from job to job.
