Stainless Steel Press Brake Technician — CNC Programming Lead
Location: Whitesburg, Georgia | Type: Full-Time | Experience: 3+ years operating & 3+ years programming CNC press brakes
Is this you?
- Do you confidently program DALEM controls at the machine and optimize bend sequences for speed and accuracy?
- Can you read complex fabrication prints and convert them into clean, efficient programs with the right tooling, allowances, and deductions?
- Are you meticulous about surface protection on cosmetic stainless and passionate about first-pass quality?
- Do you thrive in a fast-paced shop, owning setup through production while documenting every step?
What you'll do
- Program: Create, edit, save, and organize CNC programs on the DALEM Touch Screen Control; set ram depth and back gauges; configure material thickness; program bend allowances and deductions; run simulations; troubleshoot errors; and improve cycle times.
- Set up: Install/align tooling; verify tonnage; set machine zero and confirm calibration; check hydraulics; confirm material orientation; conduct dry-run verification; and produce an approved first article.
- Produce: Form stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel to print; hold tight tolerances; verify angles/dimensions; and release parts only after thorough inspection.
- Protect quality: Handle cosmetic stainless to avoid scratches; ensure proper identification and labeling; keep accurate production documentation; and deliver parts clean and ready for the next step.
- Improve & communicate: Determine efficient bend sequences; flag issues quickly; support engineering with manufacturability feedback; and sustain 5S standards.
