Our manufacturing facility, located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, produces value added fruit and dairy preparations for a variety of customers including yogurt, ice cream and bakery manufacturers.
In this position you will be responsible for, but not limited to repair, fabrication/assemble on industrial equipment using welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools.
The position is for 1st shift 8am - 4pm
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine piping requirements.
- Can read and work with detailed drawings to fabricate pipes and tanks to a high degree of precision.
- Select type and size of pipe required. Calculate, measure, cut pipe to required shape using hand and power tools.
- Attention to detail and must be able to perform stainless steel welding functions at an acceptable standard level.
- Fabrication and installation of various piping and tanks for equipment.
- Layout, position, align, and secure pipes and tanks prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers.
- Knowledge of material sizes and stainless-steel specification of the product being worked on.
Skills- Must be capable of working under minimum supervision.
- Must work well with others.
- Can effectively communicate in both technical and user-friendly language, with all staff.
- Lead by example by demonstrating the importance of fostering a safe culture
Job Requirements- Current or previous CWB certifications in TIG welding - stainless preferred.
- Experience in sanitary welding /fitting and equipment installation.
- Experience as a sanitary TIG welder.
- Experience finishing stainless steel.
- Food and beverage equipment manufacturing is desired.
Physical Requirements- Ability to work with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods and work under various temperature conditions.
