Step Into a Day Shaping Precision

Begin your shift by reviewing the maintenance queue, then head to the press line where your expertise keeps production moving. You’ll diagnose transfer and line dies in-press and out-of-press, collaborate with the press team on efficient setups, and use root-cause thinking to safeguard quality. Between jobs, you’ll tune, repair, and optimize tooling in the toolroom—operating equipment with the accuracy only a seasoned pro can deliver.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and optimize transfer and line dies both in-press and out-of-press.
  • Operate toolroom equipment and precision machinery to build, repair, and adjust tooling.
  • Partner with the press team to support setup and achieve posted efficiency targets.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols, modeling safe practices at all times.
  • Use root cause analysis and structured problem-solving to improve uptime, efficiency, and quality.
  • Own product quality to print—maintain part conformance to blueprint specifications.
  • Interpret CMM or gaging data and adjust tooling to meet customer quality requirements.
  • Leverage computers and production interfaces (e.g., control panels/HMIs) to record, adjust, and track work.
  • Support Lean initiatives—apply 5S and Kaizen to organize, standardize, and continuously improve.
  • Participate in continuous improvement action plans aligned to company goals and objectives.
  • Serve as a wastewater handler after successful completion of required environmental training.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet customer demand; perform other duties as assigned.

Shifts & Premiums

  • Afternoons: 3:00 – 11:00 pm — 15% shift premium

What You’ll Bring

  • Proficiency reading and applying Blueprint GD&T for dies, details, and part prints.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve day-to-day operational issues on the floor.
  • Comfort using computers and productivity machinery such as control panels.
  • Skill interpreting CMM/gaging information to dial-in tooling and hold spec.
  • 5+ years in metal stamping, prototype, tool and die build, or die repair technician roles.
  • Working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance to protect product and the environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and meet production standards.
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college or technical trade manufacturing education preferred.
  • Physical capability for extended periods of sitting/standing, bending, lifting, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds frequently.
