Stamping Press Operator

Travel Contract Stamping Press Operator

We are seeking an experienced Stamping Press Operator to set up and operate progressive and deep draw stamping presses in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate stamping presses ranging from 50T to 450T.
• Assist with die setups, adjustments, changeovers, and first article inspections.
• Load and unload steel coils using overhead cranes.
• Operate coil-fed production equipment, including feeders, straighteners, and decoilers.
• Monitor machine performance through HMI controls and make mechanical adjustments as needed.
• Perform quality inspections, document production data, and enter SPC information into SAP.
• Operate sit-down forklifts to move materials and remove scrap.
• Maintain machine lubrication systems and complete production logs.

Requirements:

• Open to traveling for contract assignments
• Experience operating and setting up stamping presses, punch presses, or progressive die equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and inspection documents.
• Comfortable working with both metric and imperial measurements and converting between the two.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and quality inspection experience.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent setups and changeovers.
