Stand Up Forklift Operator (AM Shift)

Job Title: Forklift Operator (Warehouse)
Location: Castroville, CA
Pay: $19.00–$19.50/hr
Schedule: AM and PM shifts available

Job Summary
We are seeking reliable Forklift Operators to support warehouse operations by safely moving product, accurately staging orders, and assisting with shipping and receiving. This role focuses on safe equipment operation, product handling, and order accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to safely move, load, unload, stack, stage, and organize products within the warehouse
• Support order selection and shipment preparation to ensure accuracy and on-time outbound loads
• Verify product counts, report shortages/overages, and help resolve discrepancies
• Identify and report damaged product or packaging issues
• Follow proper stock rotation procedures (FIFO/FEFO as applicable) and warehouse management practices
• Perform routine equipment inspections (pre-shift forklift checks) and report maintenance/safety concerns
• Support efficient warehouse operations through staging, picking, material handling, and general warehouse tasks as needed
• Follow all site safety rules, traffic patterns, and PPE requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements

• Forklift experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to stand/walk, bend, and lift/move materials as required

Safety & Dress Code (Client Requirements)

• Follow all safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines
• Use safe body mechanics (lift/bend/stoop/twist safely; ask for help when needed)
• Be mindful of slip/trip/fall hazards and stay hydrated (heat stress awareness if applicable)
• PPE/dress code per site policy (ex: closed-toe shoes, hi-vis, etc.)
