Description:
KPB Generators keeps homes and businesses across South Florida running when the power goes out. We're hiring an experienced standby-generator technician who can independently service, diagnose, and repair Generac and other major brands. This is a key hire on a growing team — competitive pay, a take-home company truck, and real room to grow.
What you'll do:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on residential and light-commercial standby generators
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and fuel-system faults
Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches (ATS) and perform load-bank testing
Handle startups/commissioning and warranty work
Respond during storm season as part of an on-call rotation
Log all work in ServiceTitan from your phone, and communicate clearly with customers
Requirements:
3+ years hands-on experience with standby/generators (or strong transferable electrical/HVAC/diesel background)
Solid understanding of single- and three-phase electrical fundamentals; able to read schematics
Valid FL driver's license and clean driving record
Able to work outdoors in Florida heat, lift 50+ lbs, kneel/climb as needed
Manufacturer/dealer certification (Generac, Kohler, or Cummins) or EGSA certification a strong plus
