Summary:
This position is responsible for delivering exceptional service and developing expertise in the creation of our products. Within the store environment, this role offers the opportunity to enhance skills in food and beverage preparation. Our baristas play a key role in enhancing each customer's experience. In compliance with store operating policies and standards, this role is responsible for providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients.
- Enter cost of customer food items into cash register, give total customer purchase amount, receive payment and make change.
- Balance the cash drawer on a daily basis and complete any related paperwork.
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of cashier area and serving areas; assist others in keeping lounge area tables / chairs clean.
- Clean assigned equipment and area as needed. Maintain cleanliness and par level of paper goods and dry goods in retail area.
- Remove and check expiration dates of all items.
- Shows sense of urgency to reduce customer wait times.
- Other duties as assigned within scope of the role.
