Job Description
At the House of Representatives, a Starbucks Barista creates the Starbucks Experience for customers by providing legendary customer service, serving high-quality beverages and food, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Welcomes customers, takes orders, and builds positive relationships.
- Beverage Preparation: Prepares handcrafted espresso drinks, teas, and blended beverages to standard.
- Food Handling: Warms and serves pastries, sandwiches, and other food items.
- Cashier Duties: Operates the POS system, handles cash, and processes digital payments.
- Store Cleanliness: Washes dishes, sanitizes counters, sweeps floors, and mops floors, and takes out trash.
- Inventory Stocking: Restocks pastry cases, coffee beans, cups, and condiments throughout the shift.
- Teamwork: Communicates effectively with teammates to handle busy rushes smoothly.
Key Requirements:
- Skills: Strong communication, active listening, multitasking, and basic math skills.
- Attributes: Punctual, reliable, friendly, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced and often stressful environment.
- Physical Ability: Standing for long periods, bending, reaching, walking, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Availability: Applicants must have open availability between the hours of 6am - 6pm, Monday thru Friday.
- Experience: No prior experience required; we provide fully paid on-the-job training.
