As a Starbucks Supervisor, you serve as a bridge between the Starbucks brand''s operational excellence and Hilton's world-class hospitality standards. You will lead a team of baristas to deliver an exceptional guest experience within a fast-paced hotel environment. The Shift Supervisor supports the Starbucks Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring that both Starbucks brand standards and Hilton''s service values are consistently met. This role involves guiding a team, managing shift transitions, and maintaining a welcoming "Third Place" environment for hotel guests.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise, lead, and deploy a team of baristas during assigned shifts to ensure smooth operations.
Train and coach new team members on Starbucks recipes, equipment use, and service standards.
Provide real-time feedback and reinforcement to maintain high performance and team morale.
Operational Excellence
Execute opening and closing duties, including cash handling, till counts, and safe deposits.
Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper product rotation.
Enforce health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
Guest Experience
Create the Starbucks Experience by anticipating guest needs and connecting with customers.
Resolve guest issues or complaints promptly and professionally, negotiating accommodations when necessary.
Ensure all beverages and food products are prepared consistently according to Starbucks recipe and presentation standards.
Hotel Integration
Represent the Starbucks outlet in hotel-wide meetings and training sessions.
Adhere to Hilton's core values of Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership, and Now (H.I.L.T.O.N.).
Coordinate with other hotel departments (e.g., front desk, events) to manage guest flow and special requests.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: At least 6 months of customer service experience; previous barista and supervisory/leadership experience in a hospitality or retail setting is strongly preferred.
Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
Technical: Proficiency with POS systems and basic math for cash management.
Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40-50 pounds.
Availability: Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
