STARK COUNTY ENGINEERS OFFICEASSISTANT BRIDGE ENGINEERThe Stark County Engineers Office is now accepting applicants for the position of Assistant Bridge Engineer. Under the general direction of the Stark County Engineer, the Assistant Bridge Engineer will provide engineering assistance to the Bridge Engineer. This is an on-site full-time position with required field work.Duties of the Assistant Bridge Engineer include:Assist the Bridge Engineer with management of the departments operationAssist with the design of plans for small bridges, culverts, retaining walls, etc.Assist with the review of engineering design work to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, etc.Assist with maintaining the Countys bridge inventory, managing the Countys bridge inspection and load rating programAssist in directing the SCEO Bridge Department personnel and managing contracted workQualificationsPossession of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil EngineeringCertification as a Registered Professional Engineer in Ohio (or eligible within 2 years)Experience with bridge design and/or inspection preferred (knowledge of computer aided design a plus)Compensation and BenefitsCompensation will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
