Role: Expert Programmer HBITS-08-14946 DURATION: 30 Months LOCATION: Albany, NY Hybrid The Wadsworth Center's Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program (CLEP) process application needs continued support and a migration to a newer, ITS-supported framework. HBITS staff are sought to augment in-house resources. Qualifications
Programmer- Creates computer software. May specialize in one area of computer software or may write code for many kinds of software.
Expert- 84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
84 months experience developing web applications utilizing technologies such as Java, JSF, JSP and Servlets.
12 months experience developing applications utilizing the Vaadin application development framework.
84 months experience developing web-based applications to interact with an Oracle database.
24 months experience developing applications utilizing Java Persistence API (JPA).
24 months of experience supporting regulatory authority applications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Day-to-Day tasks
Work with analysts to understand user requirements.
Create design documentation.
Develop custom code utilizing Java.
Test and debug Java code.
Trouble shoot issues reported by users.
