Statewide Roofing - Class A Construction Driver

Class A Construction Drivers are essential members of the Statewide Roofing team. Individuals in this position will be responsible for delivering and removing debris boxes from job sites throughout the Bay Area and beyond. The goal of this position is to ensure the safe and timely transportation of debris boxes and debris to and from job sites and local dump sites.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Report to work promptly, ready to work and lead
• Ability to understand work requirements and schedule
• Follow all traffic laws and drive in a safe and defensive manner
• Inspect vehicle prior to the start of each day to ensure it is in good working order
• Manage clock-in and clock-out throughout the day, including taking proper meal and rest breaks
• Report any accidents, required maintenance, or vehicle issues
• Pick up and drop off debris boxes at job sites, local dump sites, and company as required
• Communicate with all company foremen
• Complete basic paperwork on hours worked, schedule, and submission of dump site receipts
• Additional support
  • Provide back-up support to general yard & field

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A California Driver's License
• Minimum of 3-5 years of driving experience
• Proficiency with driving & operating a debris box truck
• Clean driving record
• Skilled at navigating and understanding a map
• Maintains a professional manner at all times
• Good communication skills with foremen
• Positive, proactive, and professional attitude
• Desire to work hard
• Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Ability to work full-time at 40 hours per week and up to 60 hours per week
• Able to perform physically demanding work in weather conditions from extreme heat to freezing temperatures
• Long hours on the road from jobsite to jobsite
• Requires a majority of the time to work alone
• Must be able to follow instructions and safety rules
• Employee must be in good physical health
• Able to climb, lift, and handle a ladder up to 40'
• Must have physical strength, endurance, and work well with hands
• Requires lifting heavy objects, including buckets and rolls of materials, up to 100 lbs
• Perform repetitive tasks for lengthy time periods
