A leading global logistics organization is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee the full performance of a multi-functional transportation site. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and financial performance while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

This is a high-impact leadership position with full accountability for service delivery, team performance, and site profitability in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.

Job Duties

  • Provide full operational oversight of a station, ensuring all functional areas consistently meet or exceed customer service expectations
  • Drive profitability through strong customer engagement, proactive communication, and resolution of operational challenges
  • Lead and develop frontline and management teams, providing direction across operations, staffing, performance management, and process improvement
  • Ensure the safe, timely, and compliant movement of freight across all service lines
  • Maintain a professional, safe, and efficient working environment aligned with safety and regulatory standards
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, financial results, and operational KPIs to identify gaps and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee P&L performance, including cost controls, forecasting, and short-term action planning to achieve business objectives
  • Partner on commercial initiatives, including customer retention, business development, and revenue growth opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., safety, financial controls, and quality systems)
  • Standardize processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive operations experience
  • At least 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role
  • Experience within transportation, logistics, or supply chain environments strongly preferred
  • Relevant operational or equipment certifications may be required

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing teams across multiple functions
  • Solid understanding of operational and financial performance management (P&L ownership preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-related systems
  • Ability to lead process improvements and implement standardized operating procedures
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, present, and interact effectively at all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage competing demands, and deliver results in a dynamic environment
