Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional with a Maryland 1st Grade operator license to join our team in Aberdeen, MD. This role involves collaboration within a team on rotating shift schedules as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret readings on gauges, meters, and charts to oversee various aspects of system operation.
  • Adjust controls as needed to ensure safe and efficient system operation and meet service demands.
  • Record system parameters on log sheets and ensure proper equipment operation.
  • Maintain machinery and equipment within the system in good working order.
  • Potentially supervise and coordinate activities of other workers involved in tasks directly related to system operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain a Daily Operations Log and perform routine maintenance according to applicable O&M Manuals for the boilers.
  • Other on-site duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in centrifugal chiller operations and central utility plant operations.
  • Experience standing watch in the Chill Water Plant is required.

License & Certifications

  • A valid Maryland Class 1 stationary engineer's license is required.
  • OSHA 10 training is advantageous.

Shift & Schedule

This position involves rotating shifts.
