A STEAM Teacher / Innovation Specialist is needed at Menomonie Middle School. This position is to begin August 17, 2026 and will teach classes in grades 6-8 focused on concepts in the areas of Technology Education, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) and career development in technology-related fields. There is an emphasis on coding, 3D printing, and use of the woodworking lab.

The successful candidate will display knowledge and application of the Wisconsin Teaching Standards, the Wisconsin Academic Standards for English Language Arts, the Wisconsin Standards for Mathematics, the Wisconsin Standards for Science, the Wisconsin Standards for Technology and Engineering, and the PLC and RtI processes. Candidates must possess a passion for high-quality work within all student populations, have the ability to teach concepts to both advanced and challenged middle school students, use a project-based approach to teaching, incorporate creativity in lesson design and implementation, and exhibit positive communication with students and families.

Responsibilities include engaging students in conceptual thinking with applications to the real world, using data to adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students'' varying needs and interests, collaborating with colleagues to improve the learning of all students, and maintaining a safe, respectful classroom environment. Experience teaching middle or high school students is preferred. Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) license #1220 (Technology Education) or license #600, #601, #621 (Science) or other applicable license to teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade is required.
