Job Opening: Steam Teacher
Location: Sherman Oaks, CA
Start Date: August 2026
Reports to: General Studies Principal
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Thursday: 7:45am-4:30pm, Fridays 7:45am-2:30pm
Duties and Responsibilities:- Collaborate with teachers to develop STEAM/PBL projects in lab - correlated with curriculum
- Budget, purchase, maintain and track supplies and orders
- Maker space / open area for student STEAM engagement during breaks.
- Create annual Emek yearbook
- Start of the year training teachers in technology / apps / PL, Google classroom as necessary
- Find, train and implement new STEAM programs for GS and TS.
- Run steam electives for elementary and middle school
- Assist with recess and lunch duty as necessary
- Continue Professional development
- All activities to be designed to facilitate the success of students in developmental STEAM classes designed to teach conflict-resolution, problem solving, collaboration and communication skills
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related subject, preferred.
2. 3 years of teaching experience in elementary school setting, preferred.
3. Energy, creativity, dedication.
4. Experience working in an elementary school.
Compensation: $60,000-$70,000 DOE plus benefits
