Steel Detailer

This structural steel company is in search for a structural steel detailer. 

Candidate should be able to:

• Create shop drawings and erection drawings for structural steel projects
• Detail beams, columns, joists, braces, stairs, platforms, and connections
• Develop 3D structural steel models from architectural/engineering drawings
• Produce detailed fabrication drawings, erection plans, and bills of material (BOMs)
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and structural plans
• Coordinate steel details with engineers, architects, fabricators, and project managers
• Identify and resolve design conflicts, discrepancies, and constructability issues
• Prepare and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information)
• Ensure drawings comply with AISC, AWS, and project specifications
• Make revisions based on engineer/client comments and field conditions
• Coordinate connections, dimensions, welds, bolts, and material requirements
• Work closely with the fabrication shop and field erection crews
• Perform quality checks to ensure drawings are accurate and fabrication-ready

Compensation range 60,000-65,000
