Steel Rule Diecut Technician, Paperboard Converting

Oliver Inc. is expanding and looking for a die-cutting pro who can set up, fine-tune, and run converting equipment with confidence. You’ll be part of a people-centered team that pairs deep industry know-how with cutting-edge technology—and you’ll see your work on shelves nationwide.

What you’ll do

• Own end-to-end machine setup for die cutting, including stripping and blanking.
• Execute precise make-readies, pull verification samples, and ensure every sheet meets spec.
• Monitor runs, adjust tooling and settings on the fly, and safeguard total job quality.
• Handle routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs to keep equipment production-ready.
• Model safe work practices and partner closely with teammates in a fast-moving environment.

What you’ll bring

• Background as a Die Cutting Operator/Pressman in printing, packaging, or folding cartons.
• Proficiency with steel rule dies, counter plates, make-ready materials, and stripping/blanking tools.
• Working knowledge of SBS, CCNB, and Kraft substrates and how they influence cutting, scoring, and creasing.
• Ability to interpret job tickets, dielines, CAD layouts, and quality criteria.
• Proven track record of accurate make-readies with limited oversight.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; experience on Bobst, Heidelberg, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Math/measuring accuracy for tight tolerances.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long stretches, and work safely in manufacturing.
• Team orientation and a can-do attitude.
