Position:

STEM Teacher

Location:

North Putnam Middle School

Education/License/Experience:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution - multiple certifications preferred.

Valid Indiana Educator's Professional Certificate in the appropriate coverage.

Experience as a successful educator.

As set by state certification authorities.

Certification and Qualifications:

Indiana Teaching License-Middle School Certification; demonstration of leadership; strong skills in interpersonal communication and collaboration; history of using differentiated strategies in instruction; demonstrated ability to integrate technology in instruction.

Performance and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrably passionate about computer science and its potential to empower students (preferred).
  • Creative and resourceful educator with a knack for making complex concepts accessible and engaging.
  • Possess excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

Special Skills, Training or Aptitudes Required:

  • Design and deliver dynamic lessons that integrate Project Based Learning curriculum across science, technology, and engineering concepts.
  • Lead and coach our robotics team, fostering collaboration, creativity, and problem solving through hands-on learning.
  • Develop and implement engaging computer science activities and projects (preferred, but not required).
  • Collaborate with other teachers to build a comprehensive and cohesive STEM program.

Responsibilities:

Works collaboratively with other teachers to provide a stimulating teaching and learning environment for students.

Salary:

Commensurate with experience

Starting Date:

2026-2027 School Year
