As a Step Down Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert care to patients transitioning from intensive care, ensuring safety, comfort, and recovery. Required Skills:
  • Valid RN license in good standing
  • Proven experience in step down or telemetry units preferred
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system (first timers accepted)
  • Ability to assess patient conditions accurately and respond swiftly
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work night shifts effectively

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations
  • Familiarity with advanced nursing protocols and procedures
  • Additional certifications such as TNCC or CCRN

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred but not mandatory
  • Minimum of 1 year of hospital nursing experience in a step down or similar setting

Other Requirements:
  • Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS are required
  • Commitment to every other weekend coverage (Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00)
  • First-time EPIC users welcome – comprehensive onboarding provided
  • Travel, licensure, certification, and related reimbursements available where applicable
